Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)

Northam Primary School is a Positive Behaviour Support school.

Improving students’ academic and behaviour outcomes is about ensuring all students have access to the most effective instructional and behavioural practices possible. PBS provides an operational framework for achieving these outcomes.

The PBS team incorporates members from all areas of the school and community environment – teaching staff and parents.

PBS works to establish a school environment where appropriate behaviours are the norm. The students receive 'Gotcha Tickets' when they display appropriate behaviour, and show fantastic work and receive tokens to place in their factions based on our school values Respect Resonsible Care Persevere.
